All things must come to an end.

I have to admit that I'm not very good at keeping a blog. I haven't updated in months and I think it's time to retire this space. From now, any news and updates will be posted on my website, so please update your bookmarks, thank you -Adele

Tattoo Art

Someone recently had my artwork 'The Red Shoes' done as a tattoo. Having artwork made into a tattoo is not unusual, it happens all the time, but from my point of view, it's interesting watching the process of another artist rework this complex art onto skin.

A work in progress...

Ella Guru

A while ago, artist and friend Ella Guru did a painting of me which isn't just a simple portrait... it's an interesting insight into my world as seen through her eyes. It was a fascinating experience to sit and passively be the art instead of the creator, but also to see how another artist tries to capture your essence in a single image. To see what aspects of your life and world stand out enough for that person to want to include them in your painted story.

I love how Walter Potters little taxidermy creatures managed to find their way onto the canvas along with my ,very much alive, canine friends.

She is such a wonderful artist who takes very usual subjects and settings and paints them in a classic way. You can find out more about the world of Ella Guru at www.ellaguru.org.uk

New Artwork: Buffalo Hunting

The second in my 'Inspirations' series is dedicated to my all-time favourite film maker and artist David Lynch.
I remember falling in love with his work after watching the series Twin Peaks and I've been captivated by it ever since. His dialogue and surreal settings have always been very inspiring and I love that no explanation is ever given for their use. Things are often presented randomly and out of context which makes his films so exciting and intriguing to watch.
With David Lynch, I don't think it's a case of him seeing 'outside the box'... it's more that there was never a box in the first place.

New Artwork: Book Cover

A while ago, I was asked if I would be interested in creating the book cover for a Swedish poetry book 'Svensk Poet 2011'. As a lover of poetry, I could hardly say no....

Here's a peak at the artwork with title

More information about the book can be found here: http://www.kingink.se/svenskpoet.html
